The Challaborough Challenge Route

This year Operation Henry Trust are hosting a special 15th anniversary 15km walk as well as our annual 8km (5mile) walk. There will be a refreshment stop for both routes in Challaborough, and then again in Bigbury village for the 15km route.

Starting and finishing at the Dolphin Inn in Kingston the walk will lead you out towards the dramatic coast paths, through the bustling village of Challaborough and up past Bigbury Island. The route then takes you back in land past the Avon river then back towards Kingston over rolling countryside.

The 15km route (about 9 miles) is a challenging route for walkers aged 12 or over. We advise you wear comfortable walking boots/ trainers and bring plenty of water to keep you hydrated.

Our traditional 8km (about 5 miles) walk will start after the 15km group, but take the same route along the coast to Challaborough Bay. This route will then take you back in land towards Ringmore, finishing back off where we started. The route can be boggy in places and is not push chair friendly.

The map below shows the 15km route in red, and the 8km route in green.
