‘Only 3% of GPs’ can spot signs of pancreatic cancer, claims pressure group


ITV have released an article today.

More than 800 cases of pancreatic cancer were reported last year in the West Midlands, of those just 33 survived, according to new statistics.

It comes amid concern from the charity, Pancreatic Cancer Action, that only 3% of GPs feel able to confidently recognise the symptoms of the disease.

The research charity are calling for more GP’s to be educated on identifying the symptoms of Pancreatic Cancer.
