World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition

Operation Henry are proud members of the World Pancreatic Cancer Coalition.

The mission of the coalition is to drive transformational change for all those affected by pancreatic cancer.

In May 2016 our Head of Fundraising, Marina Leadbetter, met up with 54 other pancreatic cancer organisations from around the world. A total of 24 countries are representing the coalition, so that we can strengthen our efforts in raising awareness of pancreatic cancer.

Marina says "by working collaboratively, we have a much greater impact". The coalitions main focus and activity will be World Pancreatic Cancer Day which is taking place on 17th November 2016. Our aim of this day is to make people aware of the disease and fundraise to help support people who have been diagnosed.

Throughout the month of November we are inviting the community to join us by turning their homes, offices and organisations purple! We are also encouraging people to bake purple cakes and knit purple pom poms, all to raise awareness of this awful disease.
